May I take this opportunity to thank you for your assistance in sourcing the Project Manager required by our company.  Having had one or two bad experiences of working with recruitment consultants in the past I must admit that I started the whole process with you with a degree of scepticism.

You will no doubt recall my surprise at what I initially thought were not enough prospective candidates to interview, but following your explanation about the pre-screening process I can understand just how much work and effort you have put into helping us employ the successful candidate. All three candidates presented were of an employable calibre, all of which made my decision making much harder, but that is the perfect position to be in I suppose!

I would like to thank you for your assistance is recruiting Stevie as our Industrial Salesman for the Scottish Region.

From start to nearly completion you have acted in an extremely professional and friendly manner, which makes the process that bit smoother.

You questioned us at the start extremely thoroughly (I thought you were interviewing me for a job at one point) to ensure you understood our particular requirements, and the process we were going to use to ensure we found the correct person.

The two candidates you put up met our requirements fully and both came over extremely well.  In fact it was so close that Joe and myself could not really spilt them, therefore we used our HR department’s skills with the psychometric test, which helped us in our final selection.

Stevie joined us yesterday and is out on the road today and I am sure he will bring the business in.

The final bit is that you were flexible with us on the trial period and that helped us with HO.

I said at the start nearly completion and that is how I believe you look at this as well, as the job is not completed until we are both proven correct in our choice and our sales and profit increase and we reach the end of the trial period

Allgood PLC is a circa £18 million business who specialise in providing unique fine design and high performance products within the construction sector.

Allgood Plc financially retained Rilwood Associates in summer 2010 to recruit the position of Sales Manager.  This was the first time that Allgood had worked with Rilwood Associates and at the time we were unsure with regards to working in partnership with a recruitment consultancy on a financially retained basis.

Matthew came to meet with us so that a detailed brief could be taken in person and so that Rilwood could explain their proposed recruitment process.  Following this meeting and the detailed explanation of the retained approach and the rationale for it we were confident to follow Rilwood’s professional advice and financially retained their services

Rilwood Associates provided a strong shortlist of candidates that were an excellent match for the position and following the interview process we were left with 2 candidates both equally able to fulfil the role.  From this position we secured our preferred candidate.  As a result of our satisfaction with both the service and result obtained from the financially retained approach we again retained Rilwood in autumn 2010, this time to recruit a Board Level Executive Director.  This was a critical senior appointment which was integral to succession planning being under taken at that time.

Once again Rilwood sourced candidates through active headhunting, networking and advertising.  From this work they presented a shortlist of 6 candidates. Consultants from Rilwood then attended 1st stage interviews at our offices to assist in the recruitment process and to enable us to provide detailed feedback on and to the candidates.  Following the 1st stage 2 candidates were selected for final interviews.  The decision was close as both candidates were of extremely high calibre and provided excellent relevant experience and skills and, importantly, a very close culture fit to our business. From this position we selected, and secured our preferred candidate.

Both candidates secured via Rilwood Associates and the retained approach has proved to be very successful additions to our business.

As such I have no hesitation to recommend Matthew, Rilwood Associates and the retained search and selection approach to any organisation looking to recruit quality candidates into their business.  Rilwood took the time to fully understand what we were looking for and delivered the right result on both occasions.  As a business, we will be using them again in the future
