BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – VEHICLE TELEMATICS

 

Salary: Circa £45k, £100k OTE and car allowance

 

Location: Southern Based

The Company:

My client is a Market Leader in the Vehicle Telematics Market who offer transport management solutions that maximise the efficiency of vehicle fleets across the country. Their products are sold to Fleet Managers, Fleet Directors and Managing Directors who are responsible for a fleet of vehicles. The Vehicle Telematic product they sell allows their clients to monitor where their assets are but also how they are being driven i.e. analysis of harsh braking, harsh acceleration and vehicle idling resulting in a review that allows the fleet controller to monitor and improve fuel consumption. The business has been trading successfully for 11 years and continues to go from strength to strength.

At this time they are looking for a Business Development Manager who can maximise the sales of their Vehicle Telematics and Fleet Management Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating new business through outside sales activities and internal sales activities such as cold calls, prospecting and relationship building.
  • Understand and demonstrate USP’s that differentiate from the competition.
  • Actively pursue leads provided by the internal sales team.
  • Conduct daily inside and on-site sales with customers, following company’s sales process, including generating and qualifying leads, assessing opportunities and proposing and closing sales contracts.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales performance expectations.
  • Report weekly forecast and customer sales.
  • Visiting potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be outgoing, self motivated, passionate and goal oriented
  • 3 years minimum experience in a New Business Saas role
  • Must be energetic with excellent communication skills including active listening skills and the ability to be assertive and persuasive without being aggressive
  • Ability to understand corporate structures and identify key decision makers and determine buying process
  • Excellent closing skills
  • Must be able to cold call
  • Effective spin selling techniques
  • Team player and a solid work ethic/work history
  • Highly diligent and tenacious, able to work on own initiative.
  • Disciplined, enthusiastic, resilient and possess good networking skills.
  • Flexible to respond to business needs.
  • A hunter – somebody who enjoys going out and finding their own business
  • B2B – must have experience selling products or services on a business-to-business level
  • Prospecting:  It is critical that the candidate comes from a background where prospecting for new business was routine.
  • Entrepreneurial and Drivenlooking at this opportunity as an entrepreneurial endeavour where success is up to own productivity
