We are a leading-edge manufacturer of automated, self-guided vehicles and material handling solutions to customers operating within sectors such as Automotive, Hospital, Commercial Print, Newspaper, Chemicals and other Consumer Product Manufacturing.   Currently employing over 200 people globally, we have offices in the UK, Europe and USA.  We supply the complete system, incorporating software, installation, integration and long-term customer support.  The development of cost-effective technical solutions is one of our company’s main strengths; if a customer’s application cannot be solved with a standard vehicle type, our technology team has the ability to provide a custom-engineered solution.      We offer a stable and exciting working environment with employees staying with us over 10 years on average.  We are the most innovative and financially secure AGV company in the market and we are seeking to recruit a Sales Manager to work home-based. The position will report to the European Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be well versed in capital equipment sales and will have extensive experience of selling to customers within either the Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage or Tissue Paper sectors.      The Role:

  • Identification of target accounts and subsequent relationship development with the organizations’ key decision makers,
  • Generate leads through networking, respond to enquiries and develop potential projects by making sales calls and carrying out technical presentations,
  • Convert customer enquiries into secured orders and present technical detailed project reviews to determine the most effective sales approach,
  • Develop and maintain a high degree of Automatic Guided Vehicle market awareness, including knowledge of potential customer base and current competitors,
  • Provide on-going support to current and future customers.

  Requirements:

  • HND or higher level qualification within Mechanical/Electrical Engineering disciplines,
  • Track record of success selling material handling equipment is beneficial but not essential,
  • Strong experience in capital equipment sales to end of line applications,
  • Exhibit strong presentation and communication skills, adopting proper approach to all levels of customer decision makers,
  • The keen ability to identify customer requirements / problems and provide an appropriate solution,
  • Strong aptitude for building and maintaining effective customer relationships.
