GLOBAL SALES MANAGER – SCIENCE & ENGINEERING TEACHING EQUIPMENT
SALARY: £70,000 BASIC + BONUS + CAR ALLOWANCE + LAPTOP + PHONE
BASED: NORWICH, GREAT YARMOUTH, THETFORD, NORFOLK, SUFFOLK, KINGS LYNN, LOWESTOFT, BURY ST EDMUNDS, MILDENHALL, STOWMARKET, WISBECH, EAST DEREHAM

My client has been developing and marketing education and training products for over 30 years. They provide equipment and services to education and training customers around the world as well as digital content development services for specialised training contracts. The current global business development strategy is focused upon the USA, Mexico, UK, and the MENA region. This post will manage sales teams based in Norwich, UK and in Orlando, USA.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead the delivery of a global sales strategy for a growing range of Science and Engineering on-line digital learning content with associated training equipment, delivering agreed revenue targets for all of my client’s educational products. This position reports to the Managing Director.
This position is responsible for:
Leading the team to develop sales strategies in our three regional markets: United Kingdom, North America, and ROW.
Leading the delivery of these strategies.
Delivering agreed revenue targets.
Leading the three regional sales teams to ensure delivery of agreed sales targets, including recruitment and training as required.
Managing the global sales budget.
Evaluating competitor and market information to feed information back into sales strategies.
Key performance indicators include:
Revenue targets achieved.
Evidence of the monitoring and review of measurable indicators within the regional strategic plans.
Monthly reporting of performance versus plan.
Increased market awareness of products.
Key relationships with partners and distributors are established and maintained in accordance with the strategic plans.
The three sales teams have clear direction, focus, targets and accountability.
Candidates will be expected to have:
Evidence of success in meeting sales and revenue targets.
Had proven success in implementing a multi-channel sales strategy.
Built and maintained a successful distributor network.
Managed sales teams.
Advanced communication skills and the ability to influence through personal credibility.
The ability to work independently and remain highly motivated.
Experience of managing financial budgets.
Good foundation IT skills.
The ability to talk knowledgably about technical and scientific subjects.
An understanding of education and/or training processes.
