Health and Safety Manager

Location: Lisbon, Portugal

This leading company in developing sustainable energy solutions are currently in the early stages of constructing a lithium refinery in Lisbon, Portugal.

As a Health and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and contractors involved in the construction of our lithium refinery in Lisbon. We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in oil & gas, chemical, or construction industries, preferably with knowledge of Portuguese and EU legislation.

Responsibilities:

-Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with local and EU regulations.

-Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.

-Lead safety training programs for all employees and contractors on-site.

-Monitor and enforce compliance with safety policies and procedures.

-Coordinate with relevant authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

-Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety issues.

Requirements:

-Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the oil & gas, chemical, or construction industries.

-Familiarity with Portuguese and EU health and safety legislation and regulations.

-Experience working in early-stage construction projects is preferred.
